Character animation tools range from DUIK in After Effects, to Spine, Moho, and let’s not forget Adobe Animate (Formerly Flash). Animate has some great animation tools, albeit mashed together with an entire scripting environment that makes it weird. But, if you want to rig and animate a character, it’s a pretty fast process.

This whole Adobe/Fuse thing is the whole reason I sprung for iClone. It's something that I normally wouldn't spend that much money for, but I really don't like the new Fuse. It won't even run unless I click the icon 100X really fast. (Really, that's an actual solution in their forums if it's not running for you. It works, though, lol). Fuse Fuse is a standalone 3D character creator that enables you to make unique characters to use in your game. Fuse comes with 70+ body parts, 150+ clothing meshes, 42 dynamic texturing substances, Unlimited free Auto-Rigs and Animations through the Mixamo service (activated Adobe ID required).
